Christ Church Bedford was the first church in the St Albans Diocese to become FairTrade certified - back in 2005.

We have a Fair Trade stall after the 10am service on the 1st and 3rd Sunday each month and extra stalls in the run up to Christmas.

The stall sells many things - chocolate, tea  & coffee along with less well known FT foods - rice, pasta, sugar, jam, kitchen towels and a host of other tasty foods.

The concept behind FairTrade is to ensure that the producers of the items get a wage that allows them to support their families.
