Revd Fiona Gibson - Assistant Curate

Alex Mnatzaganian - Associate Minister of Young Peoples Work

Revd Richard Hibbert
I come from Northwood (NW London) and began working life as a shipbroker in the City of London, at the bottom as office boy and then moved into the chartering department, being responsible for negotiating with ship owners on behalf of overseas clients.
In my late 20s, I felt God calling me to the ordained ministry, and after 2 years of saying no to God (how foolish is that?), I finally agreed. I trained at Trinity College, Bristol, and served my curacy at St. Mary's, Luton. I've been Vicar of Christ Church since July, 2000, Assistant Rural Dean of Bedford since 2005, Rural Dean since 2010. I'm also a member of General Synod since 2005.
I'm married to Sarah and we have one lovely daughter, Emily, and a great cat, called Julian

Revd Fiona Gibson
I come from Enfield in North London. After leaving university I was a primary school teacher, first in Hertfordshire and then in Enfield. After nine years of teaching I became the children's minister at my home church in Cockfosters. While serving there I began to explore whether God was calling me to ordained ministry.  The answer was yes so I spent four happy years training at Oak Hill College, Southgate, and arrived at Christ Church Bedford as Assistant Curate in July 2011.  I'm married to Dave and we have two children - a son and a daughter.  When I'm not working you can usually find me buried in a book, taking photographs, or enjoying a hot chocolate with friends.

Alex Mnatzaganian
I'm Alex. My wife Nadine and I love being here with our children Jack(12) and Chloe (16). (Jade, Phoebe and Velvet extend the family in the animal direction - dog and two cats!).
We've lived in many places through working with churches in London, Nigeria and Bristol, but as the one place we've lived longest Bedford feels like home. Christ Church has also become family for us, and I'm so excited to be joining the team working with our wonderful young people.
By training I'm an Electrical Engineer, but while I do like technical things (fave magazine: "New Scientist") my deeper leanings are a bit more artsy!  I've always loved music, and I really enjoy playing and writing and being part of the worship team at Christ Church.

Monica Cooper
Hi, I'm Monica. I was born and raised in sunny South Africa and spent a lot of my life moving around various places.  As such I love variety, diversity and adventure. My working life has included public relations, care work and lots of youth work in different forms. The thing I love the most, however, is exploring life together with others and fighting for those who are hurt or unjustly treated, focusing especially on children and vulnerable adults. I have two beautiful little girls of my own called Mikyla and Carmen who are both fully fledged English roses.  Together we are attempting to live the adventure that Jesus Christ has called us to. I look forward to adventuring with you too....
